Richie Hayward Benefit T-Shirt

A new design has been printed and is being sold to benefit Little Feat drummer and founder, Richie Hayward.
The shirt was sold at the benefit and is also being sold at Little Feat concert tour dates.
The shirt was features the Hot Tomato ladies, a stale icon of the band as created by the late, great Neon Park.
After the initial design was done, my good friend Bill Edwards did some gorgeous line work to take these tomatoes to the next level. Bill also added the pickle in place of the banner they were sitting on. Bill is the wonderfully talented artist who was lead character designer on the hit television cartoon series "Family Guy".
After hours of carefully preparing the screen for the printing to ensure maximum use of shadow and highlights, these shirts were orinted and the final result exceeded my expectation.

Best of luck Richie, blessings of health and happy longevity.

The Tshirts are still available online.

Shangri La's Website Launched

I just finished the website for the (in)famous recording studio in Malibu, Shangri La. This upscale beachhouse getaway has been home to many legends since it opened it's door a few decades ago. It has been a great job as it called for the synthesis of design and function. I created an illustration, hobbled from numerous photographs, and created a landscape that captures the relaxed, yet creative and professional atmosphere. The site has many features including a three layered background and many foreground elements (a top layer being the palm tree's cast shadow), 360ยบ panoramic studios view, amazon & cafepress store, 3d tag cloud, linked "easter eggs", slideshows, a twitter feed, and a slick sliding menu. The studio is very pleased.
